HOLISTIC THERAPY

Welcome to Stroud Therapists

Complementary and alternative therapies typically take a holistic approach to physical and mental health, and consider both physical and emotional wellbeing. This holistic approach follows the philosophy of treating the whole person (the integration of mind, body and spirit). Many of these therapies (though not all) adhere to the notion of ‘healing,’ rather than simply treating a person for a specific illness or injury.

Depending on the therapy, this can be undertaken alongside other treatments (complementary) or as a replacement for more conventional or mainstream treatment (alternative). Holistic therapies promote relaxation and are proven to help relieve pain and reduce feelings of depression, stress and anxiety. They can also overcome sleep and breathing problems as well as increasing general health and wellbeing.
