Alongside private practice, I work with Young People as a Peripatetic Counsellor for a charity, and previously as a Trauma Informed Counsellor working with people living with drug and alcohol addiction.
I have experience working with a range of issues including Self-Harm, Suicidal Ideation, Gender Identity, Abuse, Anxiety and Depression; and I also offer Inner Child and Somatic healing work.
I offer an empathetic and accepting space where you are listened to deeply, for you to explore and process your thoughts, feelings and experiences, without judgment.
Everyone’s reasons for seeking support are unique, and when life presents challenges, experiencing strong emotions can feel overwhelming; I aim to build a trusting therapeutic relationship, to help you grow your self-awareness, self-compassion and bring positive change into your life.
"My counselling has really helped and I have a lot more resources to help myself moving forward."
"Counselling with Michelle has really helped. I liked being listened to forward."
“I feel hope now for the first time in a long time”
As an integrated psychotherapeutic counsellor, I use a range of modalities in counselling sessions such as Person-centred; Relational; Psychodynamic; Trauma Informed; Body Psychotherapy; Polyvagal toning; Somatic and Inner Child Healing to build the therapy around what you need.
Working with younger clients I also bring creative ideas into the counselling room to help them to express, name and process their emotions.
If it feels like I am the right therapist for you, the next step is to get in touch via email. You can tell me a little about yourself and what’s bringing you to therapy. You may ask me any questions and we can explore how we could work together.
I offer both long and short-term therapy depending on your needs and I can see you in person in my Stroud based office, or online.
