About me

I am a Child and Family Psychotherapist with over 15 years’ experience working with children, young people and their families.

I have spent much of my career working therapeutically with children with complex needs and at risk of school exclusion. I also have experience working with international students and young people in independent schools.

Alongside my private practice I work with a charitable organisation providing psychotherapy in schools.

I am registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council and am a member of the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists and the Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health.

What I offer

I offer psychotherapy for children, young people and families who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health and wellbeing. This could be due to changes in family life like separation, divorce or remarriage, illness, loss or bereavement, or the cause may not be clear at all. You may have concerns around how to support a troubled adolescent, a child with an ADHD or Autistic spectrum diagnosis, or who is acting out in a way which prevents healthy development or progression through education. Perhaps a child or young person in the family is finding it hard to make friends or launch themselves into greater independence.

I can offer a safe and confidential space to think about and talk through concerns. Once a treatment plan is agreed, I work using psychodynamic and developmental approaches, I also have training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness techniques. This enables me to work together with the child, young person or family towards healthier development and ways of relating.

My NHS masters level training qualifies me to work with children and young people from infancy to early adulthood (25 years).
