About me

I qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2007 with a BSc (Hons) degree awarded by the Universities of Exeter and Plymouth. Over the course of my career, I have developed extensive experience working with neurodivergent people and particular expertise in autism, communication and social interaction.

Alongside my independent Speech and Language Therapy practice, I work with Discover Difference, contributing specialist expertise to multidisciplinary Autism and ADHD assessments for adults, children and young people.

I bring a warm, thoughtful and strengths based approach to assessment and am particularly interested in understanding the whole person rather than viewing individual characteristics in isolation.

What I offer

Through Discover Difference, I provide Autism and ADHD assessment for adults, children and young people as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team. The team brings together professionals from different clinical backgrounds, enabling assessment and diagnostic decisions to draw on a range of specialist perspectives.

My role within the team draws particularly on my expertise as a Speech and Language Therapist, including communication, social interaction and neurodevelopment. Assessment explores an individual’s experiences and development, their particular pattern of strengths and differences, and whether these are consistent with Autism and/or ADHD.

Our approach is collaborative, neuroaffirming and strengths based, with the aim of making the assessment process feel comfortable, respectful and genuinely useful. We want people to leave the process with a better understanding of themselves or their child, alongside clear recommendations where appropriate.
