About me
I help people who feel stuck in pain – even after trying everything – find clarity, move with ease, and move beyond pain. My approach goes beyond just fixing the parts that hurt. I look at the whole system – body, mind, and daily habits – to uncover the deeper patterns keeping pain and stress locked in place.
As a Pain & Posture Specialist using the Alexander Technique and mind-body skills, I help people move with ease, free from tension and strain. Alexander Technique teachers train for three years full-time to refine a unique way of using hands and words – not to manipulate, but to guide natural coordination. My approach combines pain neuroscience, nervous system regulation, and posture alignment with an understanding of how thoughts and emotions affect pain. This work is deeply calming, like an embodied meditation, where stress melts away, and movement becomes effortless.
As a former Head of HR and Career Strategist, I also support people navigating workplace pain, career transitions and returning to work after injury or illness – helping them build a sustainable career that supports their well-being.
If you’re tired of short-term fixes and want lasting change, I’d love to help.
“Martin’s calm, caring, and encouraging approach, combined with his expertise in the Alexander Technique, helped me improve my health and completely eliminate my neck pain. His problem-solving, practical exercises, and accountability helped me break old habits, improve my posture, and move out of pain.” Kate Noble
What I offer
The 3-step Move Beyond Pain Programme

Understand your pain & movement to break free from unhelpful patterns.
- Identify hidden tension, movement habits, and areas of strain
- Explore how pain is shaped by the nervous system & mind-body connection
- Recognise emotional triggers & stress patterns influencing pain
STEP 2 – ALIGN
Shift from stiffness and strain to a state of natural balance and ease.
- Release deep-seated tension and habitual movement strain
- Recalibrate movement for stability, coordination, and lightness
- Rediscover ease in daily activities – sitting, standing, walking
- Use breathwork and visualisation for deep calm
STEP 3 – THRIVE
Move freely and build lasting resilience.
- Reengage in activities you love with confidence
- Develop sustainable movement and self-care habits
- Find balance between effort and rest for long-term well-being
- If needed, create workplace strategies and broader lifestyle changes (sleep, nutrition, work transitions)
"Martin helped me overcome chronic RSI in my arms and neck pain. By focusing on small movements, improving my posture, increasing self-awareness, and upgrading my desk setup, the pain is now gone, and I can work at my computer comfortably."
