About me
I am a graduate of Roehampton University where I have an MA in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy and am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
I have over two years’ experience working in the NHS and also practice in a long-term counselling service in Waterloo.
Previous to working as a therapist I had a long career working within media organisations so also am well placed to help with career-related problems.
What I offer
The decision to come to therapy can be daunting but it is a brave first step in exploring some of the problems you might be facing.
I ensure that my clients have a supportive space where they feel safe to discuss any issues they are finding it hard to deal with, offering a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental approach.
My practice is integrative, drawing on both the humanistic and psychodynamic schools of therapy. This means that I hold the client/therapist relationship at the core of what I do, offering clients empathy, kindness and an environment free of judgement.
I also believe that much of our behaviour stems from our past relationships and upbringing, and exploring this together can help clients understand why they feel the way they do. Knowing ourselves better enables the development of self-acceptance, leading to an improvement in our relationships, our resilience in dealing with what life can throw at us, and making better choices.
