About me

I am a psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist offering a thoughtful, compassionate, and confidential space in which to explore emotional difficulties and life experiences.

My approach is grounded in the belief that our past relationships and experiences can shape how we feel about ourselves and others in the present. Together, we can begin to understand recurring patterns, emotional struggles, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or feelings that may feel difficult to make sense of alone.

Alongside my psychotherapy practice, I have spent many years working within highly responsible professional environments, which gives me a particular understanding of pressure, performance, responsibility, and emotional strain.

I work in a calm, reflective, and collaborative way, at a pace that feels manageable and safe for each individual person.

"Jake offered a calm, thoughtful and compassionate space which helped me understand myself more deeply."

"I felt genuinely listened to and supported throughout a very difficult period of my life."

What I offer

I offer one-to-one psychodynamic counselling and psychotherapy for adults, either on a short-term or open-ended basis.

Therapy provides a dedicated space to speak openly, think deeply, and feel heard without judgement. Some people come with a clear difficulty such as anxiety, bereavement, or relationship struggles, whilst others arrive with a more general sense of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected.

Sessions are tailored to the individual, with an emphasis on developing understanding, emotional insight, and a deeper awareness of patterns that may be impacting daily life and relationships.

I offer both in-person and online sessions, depending on your preference and availability.

"Therapy helped me make sense of long-standing patterns and anxieties that I had struggled with for years."
