About me
I am a BABCP Accredited CBT Therapist and Registered Mental Health Nurse with over 20 years of experience working within NHS mental health services. Throughout my career I have supported people experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, panic disorder, trauma, PTDS, OCD, health anxiety, trauma, depression, stress and adjustment to long-term health conditions.
My approach is warm, collaborative and practical. I believe therapy should not only help you understand why you feel the way you do, but also provide you with effective tools and strategies to create meaningful change. I use evidence-based CBT approaches tailored to your individual needs and goals, integrating mindfulness-informed techniques where helpful.
I understand that seeking therapy can feel daunting and I aim to create a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you feel heard, understood and supported in making the changes that matter to you.
What I offer
I offer evidence-based CBT tailored to your individual needs, difficulties and goals. Together we will develop an understanding of the patterns that keep problems going and identify practical ways to help you move forward.
Therapy is collaborative, structured and focused on helping you make meaningful and lasting changes. Sessions may include learning new coping strategies, challenging unhelpful thinking patterns, behavioural experiments and developing skills to manage difficult emotions more effectively.
I have particular expertise in anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, health anxiety, trauma and supporting individuals who are living with long-term health conditions alongside emotional difficulties.
I provide a free initial consultation to discuss your needs and help you decide whether CBT feels like the right approach for you.
